Sponsor an Object

In July 2025, the Museum introduced a new “Sponsor an Object” scheme – intended to support the local museum and involve history lovers in the community.

A series of photographs featuring various historical objects hanging from a clothesline in an outdoor setting, with a pathway and greenery in the background.

The museum has carefully selected 40 unique objects from The Collection, which you can choose from to sponsor. In return, you will be sent a digital certificate with an image of your chosen object. Your name will also be displayed on their online sponsors board (unless you opt out).

There are three levels of annual sponsorship (£25, £50 and £100) with added benefits for the higher levels, including attendance at an annual gala and a private tour of Windsor Guildhall. With your help, we can continue to share the rich histories of our collection and ensure it will be accessible for future generations to enjoy.

What is more is that the items come with their own unique history and story to tell. We can only scrape on the surface here, and have selected three which we can share a bit more about.

It is worth noting that the RBWM website is being used, as it has the financial transaction capability required to support this scheme. This was quicker and much less costly than adding that facility to the Museum’s own website. Financial prudence is required with every decision.

To that end, the Friends have financially supported the establishment of this scheme. We view this as a crucial facilitator for maintaining and expanding the Museum. We are a registered charity – No 1115540 – dedicated to supporting our Museum and its Collection. Why not Join Us?
