Visitor Information
Visiting Windsor? We have put together some Useful Information covering the location, how to travel and other sights to see such as the Castle, the Crooked House, and the Changing of the Guard. There is also a downloadable map from RBWM.
Sponsor an Object
In July 2025, with financial support from The Friends, the Museum launched its Sponsor an Object scheme. Forty unique objects from the collection were carefully selected so that you can choose from to sponsor. In return, you will be sent a digital certificate with an image of your chosen object. Your name will also be displayed on the online sponsors board (unless you opt out).
Raising Funds
As The Friends is a charity and self-financing, we rely heavily on public Donations and sales from Christmas cards and other merchandise. We also participate in the local Community Lottery, which is popular with local organisations as a way of raising additional funds. Your support is critical to keep the Friends going and being the voice of the community with the Museum and Collection.
Newsletter Archive
Over the years, we have published many newsletters to the membership. These contain news and articles that are of interest. Of particular interest each time is the update provided by the Museum Manager. We have put together an Archive of Newsletters for your perusal.
Press Clippings
The Press Clippings page allows you to read snippets about the Museum and the Friends from the local newspapers. These are invaluable to give an independent view, interviews and further information. We also provide Links to useful third-party local websites that will be of interest.

This section also provides an easy mechanism to Contact the Friends. We endeavour to get back to you by email within a couple of days. The form is monitored by the group and we will ask the most appropriate person to get back to you.
