Press Clippings

The Museum, the Friends and the Collection have been in the local press since 1951 and remains “interesting news” to the local community. We are blessed with fine local newspapers, both free and paid, that cover our story. They are available both as physical paper and digitally online. We would encourage you to look at these.

The images below are clickable, which allows the image to be expanded, making it much easier to read. We acknowledge that these are from The Slough Observer and The Windsor Express. We acknowledge their copyright and thank them for their support of local history in the area.

In fact, the Friends rescued paintings of Charles Knight and his wife, Sally, in 2004, which became part of the Collection. He was the founder of The Windsor Express.

The Museum Under Threat

While the local press has covered this in detail, it is still current news. We do not wish to interfere in any way with their revenues and would encourage you to visit The Express and The Observer websites for updates.
