Creating a Louder Voice
We are keen to increase the membership of the Friends, and to remain a key player in ensuring that our Museum – your Museum – thrives. A larger Friends of the Museum group allows us a bigger voice. It allows us to engage more effectively with RBWM and others. It allows us to better support the Museum financially. It increases visits to their events (and ours!) It further builds the relationship between the Museum and Windsor and elsewhere in the Royal Borough!
Opportunities through Change
Change is challenging, but it also brings opportunities. The changes as a result of the Museum’s funding cut – uncomfortable as they are – bring opportunities to identify weaknesses and do things better. To achieve this, the Museum Staff are going to rely on the community for help far more than ever before.
Become a Member
If you Become a Member, you are supporting the Museum (those £10 and £15 subscriptions really do add up). You get a quarterly magazine with museum news and interesting articles about the history of Windsor and the surrounding area. You’ll get invites to occasional evening talks and other events, and a lovely new website.
Become a Volunteer
If you want to do that little bit more, then please Contact Us. Perhaps, volunteer in the Museum or Archive, or help with activities. We used to run school holiday activities, also events on the Corn Market and in the Council Chamber – can we do those again? Are you interested in pairing up with a staff member and taking items to schools? Do a little research yourself? The Museum is your oyster!
