Pamela Marson

1938 – 2026

Pamela Marson was both a founder member of the Windsor Local History Group in 1976, and of the Friends of the Museum in 1991. She edited Windlesora numbers 7 to 28, as well as the early newsletters for the Friends. Her greatest achievement was publishing โ€˜Windsor A Thousand Yearsโ€™ in 2000 and aiding the publication of โ€˜Streets of Windsor & Etonโ€™. She was active in campaigning for a museum in Windsor and met Queen Elizabeth II at its official opening in the Guild-hall. She was co-author of the new edition of โ€˜Windsor Guildhall History and Tourโ€™.

Pamela was an avid artist and a keen photographer with a passionate interest in the history of photography.
