25th March 2026
Some interesting developments are emerging for the Windsor Museum and the Guildhall.
At the Windsor Town Forum meeting on Wednesday, 25th March, Steph James, Service Lead for Economic Growth, presented an update on the future direction of the museum and Guildhall spaces. The presentation touches on visitor numbers, future displays, community engagement, educational use, and longer-term ambitions for the museum service within Windsor.
For those with an interest in local heritage, it makes for very worthwhile reading and gives an insight into how the collection and historic spaces may evolve in the coming years. There are also several references to improving interpretation, broadening access to collections, and creating more flexible exhibition spaces — all subjects that will no doubt be of interest to Friends members and local history enthusiasts alike.
