Museum Progress (Nov)

26th November 2024

A meeting involving Jack Rankin MP, Councillor Jack Douglas (Communities & Leisure lead) and others took place on 15th November. I attended. It was a very positive meeting and I felt some reassurance over the Museum’s future.

A return to full operation will take some time, and funding going forward continues to be a huge challenge. RBWM is funding some consultancy work by the Hampshire Cultural Trust. It is hoped that this will take place in December. Hopefully, it will identify opportunities and a way forward for the Museum.

We are also hopeful that the Museum will be able to increase its opening hours in the New Year. However, the Museum still remains vulnerable – we continue to need your help and support.
