Budget Proposals for 2024/25

As you will be aware, full Council approved the budget proposals for 2024/25 on the 29 February 2024. Savings from a review of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) and Museum formed part of the wider economic service savings that were approved. The rationale for change is to refocus on the elements of economic growth with the greatest income/cost recovery opportunities.

Funding for the Museum team has been secured for this financial year through external grants to provide us with the opportunity to transition the museum to a different operating model that is not reliant on council funding in the future.

With regards to the TIC, it was proposed that the front-of-house element of the TIC is removed, and the refocus be on the online service to visitors maintained via the existing Visit Windsor team. Visitors
